About this site

My Free Water Report exists so every household in Virginia, DC, and Maryland can see — in plain English — what their utility found in the tap water, free.

The honest part, up front: this site is built and paid for by SwiftPro Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, a licensed Virginia plumbing contractor. If your water has a problem worth fixing and you choose to fix it, we'd like to earn that work. We say that openly instead of pretending to be a neutral third party — and the report is free and useful either way.

Where the numbers come from

Every contaminant value on this site comes from the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Tap Water Database, which compiles the testing your utility already performs and reports. We show two benchmarks side by side:

The federal legal limit — what the law requires.
EWG's health guideline — what EWG's researchers consider protective for long-term drinking. These are advisory benchmarks, not regulations, and you can read EWG's methodology for how they're set.

Most water that exceeds an EWG guideline is still fully legal. We think you deserve to see both numbers and weigh your own options. The data on this site was compiled in June 2026; your utility's official Consumer Confidence Report is always the authoritative source.

We're a Northern Virginia home-services company. Our technicians are in local homes every day, which is exactly why we built this site: homeowners kept asking us "is my water actually okay?" and the honest answer was buried in PDFs nobody reads.

The report tells you what's in your utility's water.
